Believe me, there is something for everyone on the Costa del Sol. The area offers extensive opportunities for recreation whether sporting, cultural or culinary.

The climate allows all types of sports from tennis to fishing and golf but to name a few firm favourites. You can choose to sea fish or travel into the beautiful serene surroundings of the Lakes up and around the Granada area, only one hours drive away.

For the more adventurous there is always the seasonal Ski Resort up in Sierra Navada which is about one & a half hours drive away from Malaga.

Golf on the Costa is legendary with more than 40 courses within striking distance of Malaga - Benalmadena or Marbella.

The sea and beach sports are everywhere with wind surfing and sailing available all along the coast with the winds of Tarifa offering extreme conditions for the masters of their class.

There are great shopping centres all over the Costa and when that is done the bars and restaurants are waiting to serve you with every type of cooking imaginable, at prices just as varied.

Marbella and Puerto Banus boasts many of the Rich & Famous with their elegant Villas and their serious sized boats. With a nightlife that just goes on and on, the new Golden Mile west of Marbella and on towards Estepona is where the next development is really taking off. Control so far has been excellent with developments that are carefully planned and executed making this area a firm favourite with fast rising values.

Traveling East past Marbella and Estepona on the road to Gibraltar we are seeing many new developments of infrastructure, Hotels - Golf Courses and Restaurants not to mention new Harbours and Ports that are set to rival Benalmadena and Puerto Banus.

This is where the smart set are going to be in years to come. With the prospect of Gibraltar becoming more accessible by air together with more low cost airlines expecting to operate there.

This part of the coast is really taking off even whilst you are reading this.

Speaking of Gibraltar, what a place to shop for all your duty free goods, Wines, Spirits, Cigarettes, Perfumes, the list is endless. A must for the ladies and shopperholics!!!

There is a large English speaking community on the South Coast of Spain with an estimated 125,000 British families owning property in this "Paradise" part of the Country known as the Costa-del-Sol.This means that English is spoken widely and schooling is available, be it in an International or Spanish school, which cater for English children. The children tend to learn the Spanish language quite quickly leaving their parents to catch up!!

We often find that the children take the initiative to teach their parents the lingo.
